Two Month Portraits

Tony had his pictures taken last week. I was a dope and bought all the same photo, instead of getting some of everything. I blame the photographer though, because she spent 45 minutes adding lame words to most of the pictures, and I just wanted out of there. Oh well. So here are some of the ones I won't get to give anyone.

Towel Time

Tony loves his hooded towel. After baths he'll be happy as a clam laying there with his towel over his head.

What a huge belly!

Doctor Visit

Tony had his 2-month doctor appopintment today. We were very curious about his weight, since he had such a hard time gaining any in his first month of life. No need to be worried anymore- He is 9 pounds now! And he has gotten taller as well- he is now 22 1/4 inches, up from 19 at birth. He seems so big to me, but according to the charts, he is only in the 15th percentile for height, and the 5th for weight.

He also had to get he first round of shots today, which was sad. He screamed of course, but he was able to calm down a lot faster than I thought he would. He had 5 shots and one oral dose- poor baby! Here he is with his tiny thighs covered in band-aids

Happy Anniversary to Us!

Four years ago today, Don and I got married! Holy smokes, it has gone by so fast. Don is amazing, and I'm so lucky to have him for my hubby.

We were married in the Portland, Oregon Temple on July 17th, 2004. The sealing was at 1:00 pm, and the entire day was spent scrambling to get places and have things ready. It's too bad that the day was so busy because it was hard to enjoy the moment, but over all it was beautiful.

Waterfall

On Sunday we decided to drive over to Bridal Veil Falls, which is about 30 minutes east of Portland. It was so beautiful, I had to share!

Sing-A-Long

Baby Frank is working on developing his musical talents. So far he has mastered the hand motions to

His next project was off to a good start, but until his head becomes more in proportion to his body, we're afraid progress will be slow.

Blessing Day

We blessed Tony at church on July 6th, and it was great because many of our friends and family were able to attend. After the blessing we had a BBQ lunch for the visitors and that was fun too. We took a few family pictures, but they will not be seen here, or anywhere else for that matter! (For an explanation, see post below, titled "Dear Belly") But this is what Tony looked like on that day- his shirt has a puppy on the pocket, in honor of Brother Roobin who was not allowed to attend the festivities.

My Boys

Tony was having a bounce and Roobin wanted to say hello, so Tony gave him a nose-pet. Roobin is so gentle with Tony, he likes to give him kisses on the feet. Tony thinks Roob is pretty neat.

Emotional Baby

Tony is six weeks old today, and he wanted to show off his range of emotions

Dear Belly,

Thank you for being the shell for my little peanut to grow in all those months, you did great. No other body part could have done what you did. Now, I don't want to hurt your feelings or come across as ungrateful, but we need to talk.
It has been six weeks since you returned to your normal duties, but you are still trying to do all that you did while on special assignment. Your constant grumbling is bad enough, but the way you keep showing up and making a spectacle of yourself is intolerable! I saw you attacking my non-maternity shirts with all your might, stretching them to fit your puffed-up ego. And my pants, well, they don't stand a chance! These offenses may have been forgiven, but there is absolutely no excuse for your behavior yesterday. You knew darn well that those family pictures were a big deal to me, but you just couldn't resist a chance to be the star of the show again. You played it cool all day, being sneaky whenever I went past a mirror and pretending you had changed. Oh, what a fool I was to trust you.

Sadly,

Mieka
